Online codesigning

This is the recommended way to sign and install apps for customers who purchased the option to codesign apps in the cloud. We support the most popular cloud signing services:

IPA Signer

  1. Register your device's UDID and purchase the package with the option to codesign apps in the cloud.
  2. Visit IPA Signer and enter your UDID.
  3. Choose the app (.ipa) file you'd like to sign and click "Sign App".

  4. Click "Install App" to install the signed app on your device. If you're on a computer, click "Download App" and install the signed app on your device using one of these methods:

    • Apple Configurator: install Apple Configurator on your Mac, select your device, click "Add" and then "Apps", click "Choose from my Mac", and choose the file.
    • iFunbox: install iFunbox for free on your Mac or PC, click "Install App", and choose the file.
    • Diawi: drop your file onto the Diawi homepage, visit the link on your device, and click "Install Application".

Signulous

  1. Register your device's UDID and purchase the package with the option to codesign apps in the cloud.
  2. Visit Signulous and follow the prompts to link your device.
  3. Browse to the app you'd like to sign and click "Sign App".
  4. Follow the instructions to install the signed app on your device.

iOS App Signer

  1. Register your device's UDID and purchase the package with the option to codesign apps in the cloud.
  2. Visit iOS App Signer.
  3. Use the following settings (all other fields are optional):
    • Input File: choose the app (.ipa) file you'd like to sign.
    • Device UDID: enter your UDID.
  4. Click "Start" to create a signed version of the app.

  5. Click "install app" to install the signed app on your device. If you're on a computer, click "download app" and install the signed app on your device using one of these methods:

    • Apple Configurator: install Apple Configurator for free on your Mac, select your device, click "Add" and then "Apps", click "Choose from my Mac", and choose the file.
    • iFunbox: install iFunbox for free on your Mac or PC, click "Install App", and choose the file.
    • Diawi: drop your file onto the Diawi homepage, visit the link on your device, and click "Install Application".

Codesigning on your Mac

iOS App Signer

  1. Register your device's UDID and purchase a package with the option to codesign custom apps.
  2. Find your order on our order tracker page.
  3. Download your certificate (.p12) and provisioning (Profile.mobileprovision) files.
  4. Double-click the certificate (.p12) file on your Mac. When prompted for a password, please type in 123456. This certificate should now be installed.
  5. Download iOS App Signer for free on your Mac.
  6. Use the following settings (all other fields are optional):
    • Input File: choose the app (.ipa) file you'd like to sign.
    • Signing Certificate: select the development certificate you just installed.
    • Provisioning Profile: select "Choose Custom File" and choose the Profile.mobileprovision file.
  7. Click "Start" to create a signed version of the app.

  8. Install the signed app on your device using one of these methods:

    • Apple Configurator: install Apple Configurator on your Mac, select your device, click "Add" and then "Apps", click "Choose from my Mac", and choose the file.
    • iFunbox: install iFunbox for free on your Mac or PC, click "Install App", and choose the file.
    • Diawi: drop your file onto the Diawi homepage, visit the link on your device, and click "Install Application".

Troubleshooting

Certificate is invalid

Apple may have revoked your certificate. If you made a Premium purchase, please follow the instructions above to download new certificate and provisioning files. Otherwise, you will need to make another purchase.
